[I originally wrote this on 2013.03.14 after reading Nick’s announcement, but I was wrestling with some blog tech, and then I went out of town, and then I forgot. I’ll try to do better.]
I haven’t used it in years, but I’m still sad to see it go. FeedDemon introduced me to RSS when it was released in 2003. I bought it, pretty much sight unseen, simply because Nick Bradbury made it. I’d been using HomeSite for web site production long before Macromedia bought it. Following that, I used the fantastic TopStyle. There are a few people whose work I have come to know, people I’ve come to trust over the years. If David Chartier recommends a web service or application, I’ll go ahead and grab it. Similarly, if Brent Simmons builds something, I’ll buy it. It’s easy to find people like this in the Mac community; but in the several years I spent using DOS and Windows before I switched to the Mac, Nick Bradbury is the only developer who engendered such faith.
Thank you, Nick!
